Gosh, its only the first week of school and work's starting to pile up. I still cannot accept the fact that there's homework on the first day of school! And they still say life in Aussie is very slack... obviously not for my course. Urgh..
Life has been pretty stable/boring the past few days, nothing exciting. *Like yawn* Oh, did I mention I'm living with 4 ang mohs again? Not quite used to it even though I've been staying with 4 for the past 6 months. Don't ask me why, maybe I'm tired of being out of my comfort zone. Can't wait for Charlotte to come here in July! Then hopefully we can stay together... yay... more familiar faces...
Anyways, nothing much to update/blog, just a lil short note to keep you visitors entertained... hur hur... I'll try to take more pictures and keep this blog exciting & entertaining! haha.. so stay tuned folks!

Finally!
After a few days of unpacking and grocery shopping, I've finally more-or-less settled down into this new place I call home (at least for this year).
Some pics to share... my room actually looks pretty much the same as last year... maybe a few deco changes, budden, I dont really like changes, so its good that its the still the same! haha...
My room...
Still my room... A picture I made by superimposing 2 pictures together, but didnt seem to work very well...
(My superstar pillow is sooooo comfy....)
Pictures I took on the way from the main campus to my home. This is a bridge that links the 2 places together...
The "spectacular" view from the bridge.
My house! First unit from the left...
Flinders Medical Centre, the place where I study.
Me, after playing 2 hours of frisbee out in the sun this morning. I applied sunscreen already lor... But I still became a cooked lobster. Yucks, I got "google" mark on my face somemore!

Good Bye Singapore
Its been 3 days since I left the tiny island Singapore and embarked on my journey in the South. Its weird how I used to look forward to coming here and when I'm finally here, I start missing the people back home... I guess that's how people are, never treasure what they have until its gone...
1. I'll miss the JB trips with my mum, my 2 funky aunts and Lixuan!! All the times spent shopping, doing hair and eating loads of cheap food! (er.. and the laosai that follows too...)
2. I'll miss all the Dota-ing with the doods - Paul, Mike, Jon, Junior, my mentor Derrick and most of all... *drumrolls* GAOster & theLAM!!!
(er... I dunno what are we doing... haha)
3. I'll miss the late night movies with the NTU doods! Dex, Kong-san & Tallie... My purse don't mind the short break though.. hur hur...
(eh, paiseh Kong-san... I realized I dont have a pic taken with you!)
4. My FST buddies, Karen & Dean... And all the times we spent chit-chatting about anything and everything for hours endlessly.....
5. My Dotty!!! Always there to spare a listening ear... Thank you!! Thanks for the Havaianas too!
6. Yiling! And our never ending shopping trips...
7. Ah Hu... & our bitching sessions (& proposed sun-tanning sessions...)
8. The Peanuts! All the "getting drunk" sessions at Derrick's house, the "not-very-haps" gathering at Junior's house and many more...
9. My FAMILY...
All the things I'll miss... Sigh...

The Big W
They say one's emotions follows the letter "W" when one leaves for a foreign land. I would have to agree with that. I remember last year I arrived at Adelaide at the highest point of that "W". Perhaps I expected too much of this place, hence I felt very disappointed when things didnt turn out the way I expected them to. So I slowly slid down the "W", to the lowest point. Luckily for me, I met them, who made my time in Adelaide more bearable, and fun, for the first time.
This year, I landed on this large continent mid-way down the "W". Following the "W" theory, I should be reaching the lowest point pretty soon. I hope its not a self fulfilling prophecy...

Goodbye to thick, bushy hair...
Sobs, I think I'm balding.. BOOHOO...
Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but I seriously have a hair problem. I was tying my hair the other day and I suddenly realised that the hair on one side is thinner than the other. I totally freaked out! And today, I went to the hairdresser's and he too agreed that one patch is thinner than the other. According to him, the thinning of my hair is caused by the constant parting of my hair along the same line. And so, he suggested that I change the parting from the original side (which is to the right) to the other (now its to the left). He says I dont have to worry too much about it cos gals seldom "bald" at such a young age, so PHEW... But I think I look weird with the different parting. Maybe I'm just not used to it...
I went back to NUS for some Chinese New Year reunion with the Food Science department. It was kinda enjoyable catching up with all the classmates whom I havent met in ages. I kinda envy those who already started working, they look so different, more mature, they even have an air of financial stability... hur hur... I'm looking forward to completing my studies and embark on the never ending journey of working life! (Gulp.. really??)
Anyway here are some pictures I took from the party.
This is the Yu Sheng prepared by my batch. It has got the word FU written in the centre with crackers, a bit abstract, a bit hard to see (use your imagination!!!), a bit... COOL... I mean VERY cool...
My buddies from Food Sci, the gals who went through thick and thin with me! Er okay, I'm being drama here... (Me, Karen, Dean)
More beauties from Food Sci! hur hur.. From left: Me! Charlotte, who's gonna join me in Adelaide in July, Dawn and Elaine
Alvin Loo, class genius and Prof Zhou's son. Smart people attract one another, I didnt know such innate ability is so well developed at such a tender age!
Er... Me, showing off my huge muscles! (obviously fake...)

Boohoo...
I don't know what's wrong with blogspot, they removed my previous entry on Adsense. Why? Don't they want free advertisement?? So irritating, and I always can't see some stuff that I put on my blog. Don't know if its my browser/comp that's got problems...
Anyways, I've finally repaired my camera. Cost me $120, freaking expensive... Some people ask me why did I even bother to repair it, just get a new one. BUT, I checked, the cheapest decent digital camera costs $299, and its only 3.2 mega pixel, so I guess I just have to pay for the repair fees. I bet this is all Canon's ploy... They manufactured their products with gadgets that cause the products to malfunction after a couple of years, then they earn by making us pay repair fees... hur hur... okay, I'm making this up, hope no one takes any legal actions against my defaming of Canon.
Anyways, I was shopping at Bugis yesterday and I bought this supercute pillow. Its an imitation "MOGU" pillow, its like how cute, how comfy...
I was watching this DVD borrowed from Derrick a few nights ago, its called QUILL and it talks about the story of the dog, yes, his name is Quill... its very touching, I highly recommend those who like animal films to watch it. I was bawling while watching it, luckily I watched it alone, otherwise, like how paiseh...
A picture of baby Quill:
Can't wait to start school again, all the holidaying and resting is getting kinda boring already...
Alright, that's all for now!

I'm Joe Normal, Joe Cool...
I saw this test on Lam's blog and decided to give it a go... Phew... I'm not even near to being a NERD... lalala... Lam's a NERD...
Joe Normal 47 % Nerd, 30% Geek, 39% Dork |
For The Record: A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. You scored less than half in all three, earning you the title of: Joe Normal. This is not to say that you don't have some Nerd, Geek or Dork inside of you--we all do, and you can see the percentages you have right above. This is just to say that none of those qualities stand out so much as to define you. Sure, you enjoy an episode of Star Trek now and again, and yeah, you kinda enjoyed a few classes back in the day. And, once in a while, you stumble while walking down the street even though there was nothing there to cause you to trip. But, for the most part, you look and act fairly typically, and aren't much of an outcast. I'd say there's a fair chance someone asked you to take this test. In any event, fairly normal. Congratulations! If you enjoyed this test, I would love the feedback! Also, you might want to check out some of my other tests if you're interested in any of the following: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Professional Wrestling Love & Sexuality America/Politics Thanks Again! -- THE NERD? Dota Freak!
Yes, I'm a Dota freak now.. Gao, Lam, Mike and I dota-ed till 4am for the past 2 nights.. Yikes..
I think we're really getting old and boring. Last night Xiaohui & I reached Junior's place at 8 plus to bai nian, but after a few rounds of blackjack, Paul had to leave, so all those staying in the east left with Paul... Leaving those staying in the west behind, I can't believe we were so "un-haps" and left after one "feng" of mahjong. Its not even one "round". We left Junior's place at ten-ish. Gosh... that's how boring we were...
I can't believe how much I spent on dota ever since I came back. I think the amount we spent playing dota in LAN shops is enough to get us each one copy of original Frozen Throne. Then we can play dota on battle net instead of going to LAN shops in the middle of the night... Seriously... Gao and I are thinking of getting the original copy soon... Right GAO???
Anyway, the pics I'm gonna post is a bit out of point, but they're so cute I just wanna share... (I how niceee?)
This cat is Jonathan's adopted cat. Its like how cute... Just like "Puss in Boots"...
Simon's dog, his name is Ke Li, very cute but a bit crazy...
That's all for now, time for my beauty sleep!
