Spidey III

"Peter Parker has finally managed to strike a balance between his devotion to M.J. and his duties as a superhero. But there is a storm brewing on the horizon. When his suit suddenly changes, turning jet-black and enhancing his powers, it transforms Peter as well, bringing out the dark, vengeful side of his personality that he is struggling to control. Under the influence of the suit, Peter becomes overconfident and starts to neglect the people who care for him most. Forced to choose between the seductive power of the new suit and the compassionate hero he used to be, Peter must overcome his personal demons as two of the most-feared villains yet, Sandman and Venom, gather unparalleled power and a thirst for retribution to threaten Peter and everyone he loves."

All thanks to Lam, we are going to watch the movie first before everyone else! Can't wait to watch it on Wednesday night... I love me Spidey...

Ever so charming Spidey...

My Class

Time flies, it really does. My 2 year stay down under has finally come to an end and its time to go home. Feeling sad and happy at the same time... *confused*

My class had this sort of "farewell bbq" last Friday and it was fun hanging out with them, not having to worry about assignments or projects.

BBQ aussie style always involve lots and lots of onions...

and kebabs...

s.i.c.k....*cough*

I havent been this sick for almost a year now. Feels weird to be coughing my lungs out and waking up in the middle of the night to spit phelgm. Yuck!

It all started when I took the typhoid vaccine. According to SGP's legislation, those who are working in the healthcare sector and are going to be in contact with food need to be vaccinated against typhoid. And so, we (the SGP dietetic students) went for the free vaccination provided by the university. Four of us took the jab on the same day, but I was the only one who came down with fever, sore throat and a cough. I wondered if the nurse gave me the right jab... Did she give me the live virus, or the dead ones?

So now, here I am, coughing my lungs out, feeling dizzy from the constant fever and going to the bathroom every now & then to spit out the green yucky phelgm... helppppppppppp

Days 3 & 4

On day 3, Bryan brought us to visit the Jenolan Caves in the Blue Mountains. The first stop was this place that sells antiques. I think there are more than 20 stalls in there and they sell the cutest and nicest stuff!

I just had to take a picture with the 7 little dwarfs!

Isn't this adorable? The faucet (am I using the right word?) is soooooo old school...

Okay, I'm just being dumb...

At the entrace of Jenolan Caves... like my white sunnies? :P

Blue Mountains behind me!! I look plastered onto the picture.. weird...

The "3 sisters" .... and me....

Sydney Day 2

Bryan was supposed to bring us to factory outlet shopping on this day. But... it was Easter Sunday? All the shops were closed, so when he told us that there was a change of plans, both of us were soooo disappointed. But, he made it up by bringing us to a few scenic places and once again, lotssss of pictures were taken. Have a look!

First up, Watsons Bay (apparently thats how Charlotte's younger bro was named.. hurhur... shall not go into details....)

The kind of scenary you get to see from the top... wowwwwww

More pwetty scenary...

Some anchor thingy that was used back in WWII?? I can't remember.. hurs...

Eh, this is one of the oldest lighthouses in Sydney... I think...

Next we went to Bondi Beach... I've been there soooo many times that I'm sick of taking pictures there... Anyway we tried something interesting there, called Fried Mars Bar. Its basically a mars bar, dipped in batter and deep fried, with icing sugar on top of it. Its the ultimate sin to eat it... I look like a pig in the picture by the way...

Next stop: Manly Beach... For shopping!!! Lotsa surf brands there, but nothing much to buy :( coz everything sooo expensive.... we saw this Australian made top/dress thingy which you can wear in 8 different ways. Because its australian made it costs 60 bucks! gulp...

Finally, some lookout point near Manly, can you see Sydney behind me?

Another picture of Sydney from afar, can you see a storm brewing??

Charlotte looking artistic... I took the picture! haha...

Hungry.. time to look for food....

Sydney 2007

I'm back! This Sydney getaway during the Easter holidays was indeed rejuvenating. Got to do some sightseeing, some shopping and eat lots of good food! I think this trip was the best among the past few times I've been to Sydney, simply because we've got a personalised tour guide, who was always so patient with us! The only disappointing thing of the trip was the lousy accomodation, its like one of the dirtiest backpackers I've ever stayed in. The only good thing about it was that it was located in the heart of the city. Well, I guess you can't have best of everything. Some pictures to share!

The first day, Bryan (our tour guide) took us on a city tour and the first stop? The fish market! Lotsa fresh seafood, yummy!

I think this is lobster mornay, lobster with lotsa cheese on it...

Grilled salmon... divine...

Bryan and his girlfriend Judy, with all the food that we're going to have! yumm

Next stop, Sydney Darling Harbour!

I love this picture, reminds me of some advert of Rain... no?

The Harbour Bridge!!!

Next stop: Chinatown

Okay, I had to take this picture, I don't think I'll ever take this picture in front of the Adelaide chinatown, haha... I'll die of embarrassment!

The yummiest balls ever! (hurhur)

At night, after dinner, Bryan took us pubbing and also to have a look at the harbour bridge & opera house again, a night view of it... Anyway, I think there's a trend in Sydney, that is ang mohs dating asian girls. Seriously, I saw numerous such couples, and I was proven right when we went pubbing. The moment (I mean literally...) I stepped into the pub, I was hit on by an ang moh. We only stayed in the pub for like 30 mins, and Char & I were hit on like 3 times?! Gosh... Anyway, picture of harbour bridge & opera house at night!

Aint they pwetty???

I'll upload pictures from days 2,3 and 4 later. I'm tired already, heh.

Pictures!

Luckily the 2 gals have savvy cameras and love taking pictures, otherwise I won't have any pictures to upload! Anyway we had a post-grad dinner last week and it was quite fun. The theme was Africa and we actually learnt how to play the "tribal drums", the drumming hurt our hands though.

I remember last year's dinner Eujzin was still around, and his good friend Carvin attended the dinner with the weirdest fashion sense (no offense! it just looked ridiculous to me.. hurhur). Reminiscence of the old times... How time flies... Anyway pictures from THIS year's post-grad dinner, my last post-grad dinner here in Adelaide... sigh...

Us gals, the "legendary" girls from TH7

Us with our area co-ordinator, he's from Canada and is a really nice dude (he's quite cute rite! hurhur)

Me and this guy who used to tutor me... He says he's going to visit Singapore sometime!

Eh, this dude was performing that night. Bernice thinks he looks like Preston Burke... (duh...)

The guy who taught us how to play the drums!

Okay, thats all for now, time to jog!
