Friday Night Out!!

Went out with the gals on Friday night for a nice dinner to celebrate our darling ah Hay's birthday. The restaurant that we went to was pretty good, nice ambience, good food (although Dean begs to differ) and cute waiters! haha! Anyway the restaurant is called Indulgz... For those who wanna go try their food/place, you can visit their website to check out their menu first!

Some pictures from that night...

The french onion soup that I ordered... it was OKAY.. I've tasted better...

Dean's Linguini Marinara, fantastic, the tomato sauce was thick, yet not too overwhelming and according to Dean, the mussels were fresh too!

Ah Hay's avocado milkshake. I tried it. There was NO avocado taste at all, unlike the Alexandra market one... So unless you like thick vanilla ice cream taste, you can go for this...

Me with my Scallops & Crabmeat linguini in lobster bisque sauce. I thought it was really good! I love the sauce & the scallops were really fresh too :)

Lastly... Ah Hay... The birthday girl! (for those who are interested... she had triple cheese baked rice... oh... n she's taken.. sorry! haha)

After the scrumptious dinner, I headed out with Kong, Marcus & Yiling for some drinks at Orchard tower (or somewhere there)... The he-girls were... well... sad to say, hotter than both us gals. So funny to see our two male friends get picked up by the he-girls! haha... Overall... great night.

Thanks guys!

Quiet Office

Joanna & Phoebe have finally left this place. AND... Joanna's cleared everything from the office... The office is now very quiet... A piercing silence surrounds me...

Okay... I'm feeling lonely in this office... I shouldnt try to make myself feel worse...

Was reading Dean's blog and realised that she got herself a hamster! How cute!

Reminds me of the hamsters that I used to have.. haha...

So tempted to get one too!

Moon Sign?

Moon Sign???

Heard about this from some Astrology program... Dunno how true?

Anyway... just take it with a pinch of salt!

For those who are intersted in finding out their moon sign, you can visit this site.

Moon in Aquarius
In many of life situations Moon Aquarians have they own, distinct and sometimes very original opinion. And they are not going to change their opinion whatever happens, even if they will be left alone. It is very important for these people to retain their independence, they don't want their personal life to be anybody else's concern. They are always original, have outstanding abilities in one or another area and serve like a magnet for those people who share their interests. This is why Moon Aquarians so often take the central place in the company of associates. And even here they somehow manage to keep their uniqueness. They are not mixing well with other people, they are together with them, but still alone.

As a result of their character quite often Moon Aquarians can become really alone in their personal life, and their constant urge for independence can lead to chronic emotionall stress. Hence their susceptibility to the disorders of nervous and circulatory systems, as also those unpredictable changes in their mood. There is an impression that at times they are getting tired of themselves, and to get rid of this tiredness they are trying to change abruptly, as if to become a different person.

To restore after a significant stress, Moon Aquarians need to have a hobby which they could plunge themselves into, forgetting about the surrounding world. It would be really good for them if they could speak out their problems, but this is not so easy, because Moon Aquarians do not like to just chat with anyone about anything. They prefer dealing with experts in their field of interest - this is with whom they are ready to talk endlessly. And if there is no such a person, then a good book could become a replacement for a friend.

As parents, Moon Aquarians can be very original. From the early years they will make clear to their child that everyones individuality is precious, and everyone should be independent. As a result, their kids might not be always properly fed or dressed, but they become self-reliant earlier than their peers and their talents develop more successfully.

My Frisbee Journey

Feeling very nostalgic lately, been thinking alot about my life back in Adelaide, especially the times when I was playing frisbee. I think the sport has really become a part of me, after playing one tournament here in Singapore, I'm starting to miss all my team mates, the lush green fields and the ever wonderful weather (even if its in the freezing cold!)

I picked up the sport in end 2005, but I think its 2006 when I had the most fun and made the most bonds...

I think the first tournament I played was the Summer League of 2005, when "Hey Ladies" was still our official name...

The following year in 2006, I think the first tournament was CUG (Central Uni Games), played at our own fields...

Thats Brett with a wonderful throw...

Our defence line... I feel so small...

Me against "boots"... I saw her again at the SG tournament! She actually flew all the way here to play the tournament... It was so nice seeing familiar faces...

Then my first big tournament, in Sydney, the National Australia Championship. We drove all the way up from Adelaide to Sydney! Took us what? 20 hours? It was heaps fun! Although my butt ached like mad (since I was the smallest, I had to sit in the middle...) This time round, our team is called Furyess...

Team FURYESS...

Fun loving Furyess.. yeah!

Emma sweetie! With her little antics as usual...

Cute?

Back in SA, in our own league, Furyess came in champs for the Autumn/Winter league for 2006! Woohoo!

The champs!

Then we drove up to Ballarat for the Southern Uni Games... Freezing our asses off, on the fields and off the fields... Disappointed that we didn't manage to retain the championship title, but it was a good experience overall...

The fields at Ballarat...

And the last tournament of the year (for me at least!) was the Australian Uni Games, held once again, at our very own lush green fields! This time I played for the 2nd team, Fiesty. There were only 10 of us in the team, and it was one whole week of intense running for me (I think its during this time that I hurt my knee real bad). Again I was so glad that I took part in it cos' I was contemplating of skipping it to study! Wise choise eh? I learnt so much, not just frisbee skills, but also leadership and of cos' socializing skills... =P

The cute prints of our team t-shirt!

Wah... tired...

Team 1 debriefing

Greg... with his uber cool pose...

Ahhhhh our lush green fields...

Random-ness

I love reading Sam and the City , the things she writes are always so quirky and sometimes so realistically true... she never takes a stand in the topics and leaves it open for discussion... which is the only thing that annoys me, cos I can't be bothered to read other ppl's comments.. hee... anyway I just read this from the page:

"the three rule: wait no more than three days before you call; date no more than three people at any one time. And once you've tested the waters with all three potential mates (but hold off testing their bed for now), it's time to give the flick to the ones you're just not that into. (Hint: Telling them you're moving to England or that you've turned gay doesn't count either.)"

I like...

Tired

Been a busy weekend, never knew socializing can be so tiring. Survived on 4 hours of sleep 2 nights in a row. For those who know me, this is pure torture. Baby me needs 8 hours of sleep every night.

So anyways, Friday night was MOS. I swear I need to stop clubbing. Staying up till 5 in the morning on heels is no joke. Plus being groped all night long isnt fun. Yucks.

Saturday night was mahjong. I need to apologize to the MJ peeps for being such a bummer. I wished my eyes could stay open longer... Sorry man...

Sunday night - my bed... finally... recharged me for work today!

Overall mood - Tired/Jaded (all Yiling's fault for infecting me)
I need some sunshine.

Ulty weekend, Ulty fun!

Spent my entire weekend at the Farrer Park fields playing my favourite sport of all time - Ultimate Frisbee!

So many things to say, but it'll all be so boring without any pictures... I was too engrossed playing, talking and laughing & I forgot to take out my camera *slaps head* I'll put up pictures later... when I steal from others... heh

I'm really glad I joined this tourney and also this club. Everyone is so friendly and good spirited, its not all about winning (althou' winning is important at times...), its also about having lotsa fun out on the fields and off the fields. I think its the first time I was drunk in bright day light! Also the first time I took part in a "boat race" (which is simply racing to see who finishes the beer quickest...)

Bad things are that I'm totally behind schedule for the things I need to complete, my research and my review on selenium isn't progressing as planned and I'm horribly burnt. It took me 2 years to "whiten" myself... but it only took me 2 days to "darken" it back. My face is starting to peel, my arms and my shoulders are of different colours... Gosh, I look like a freak! Even my colleagues don't recognise me =(

Anywho... I made plenty of new friends, people who enjoy the sport as much as I do and share the same passion for the game... What more can I ask for?

Those out there who are interested in joining me for more ulty, PLEASE let me know, we can all play together!

Alrightz, back to researching my TV ads & selenium...

*Edited*
Pictures!!!
My team is in black t-shirt. My teammate with a fantastic throw!

Awesome grabs!

Flying legs...

Pretty girls... =P

Flushing Meadows '07

The last grand slam of the year - US Open

Kinda depressing to watch actually, with all my fave seeds falling like flies...

First it was Maria Sharapova, the epitome of beauty and skills, losing to Polish Radwanska (rah-what?... rahhhhh)

Then it was Ana Ivanovic, cutesy Serbian star, falling to the resurgent Venus Williams.

Sigh, I hope my last standing fave doesn't fall!

Go Jankovic Go!!!
