Its been 3 days of work and I'm still struggling to drag myself out of bed at 715 in the morning. Its not even considered early for those of you who already started work. But I just find it very difficult. My new/temporary housemate says that its normal and that I'll get used to it pretty soon. I really don't know how long it'll take me to get used to this. For those who know me (well enough), you should know that I'm a pig, bedtime = anytime... So... Urgh!
I'm off work tmr morning cos' I have to go back to uni to attend some meeting. I thought I could sleep in and enjoy a lil' luxury. How wrong. Although my briefing only starts at 10am, I gotta leave the house by 810am because it takes almost 2 hours to get to my uni from my bro's house. Like "are u kidding me?!" after taking into account the time I need to change buses, I calculated my luxury sleep would be an extra 15 mins. Grrrreeeaat.
Life is really full of ironies... When I was studying, I can't wait to start work. Now that I'm "working" 9 to 5, I wish I was still studying, still enjoying the benefits of a flexible timetable. I guess the pastures are always greener on the other side.

Bye SGP
Once again, I'm back in this piece of flat, dry land... A place I hafta call home for the next few months. The holidays came and went really quickly. I guess its because I started to work and kept myself really busy for the last month, so the days just pass without leaving any time for me to think.
Kinda sad about leaving SGP actually, dont know why, but just feel like I miss the people, the place even the weather. Its the famous big "W" curve when you move out of your comfort zone. Its really something that I have to learn to deal with I guess.
First day of work wasnt too bad, but it can't be classified as good either. Firstly, when I arrived at the office, only to find out that my supervisor, my lecturer and I had some kind of miscommunication. Supervisor expected me to report on Tuesday, Lecturer told me to report on Monday. So I did as I was told, and since they weren't expecting me to report a day earlier, no one prepard anything for me, the desk still had a whole layer of dust, no email account was created, no pass prepared for me. Not the best way to start off the whole thing but at least they got most of that stuff settled by lunch time.
Met my supervisor, I think she's like one of the "most busiest" person around in the office, and she also has the "most messiest" office around. Papers lying everywhere, post its all over the computer screen, you get what I mean. And she's been on holiday a week prior to this, so... everyone wants a piece of her. Basically, she's in great demand, so I gotta fight for her attention! But I must say she's really very friendly and easy to talk to, at least that's my first impression of her. We had a short chat and we briefly talked about the project that I had to complete during my time under her supervision. She told me the title and my jaw just dropped. I just stared at her blankly. I swear I must have looked like an idiot. I was supposed to draw up a plan to monitor the".....(secret)".... like wtf?! Where am I supposed to start? What exactly must I do?! Luckily she assured me that she'll come up with a program so that I'll have a direction. But she's so busy, I wonder when she'll finish writing the program for me! =(
Starting to understand my working friends' feelings about waiting for lunch time, waiting for tea-break and waiting to go home cos' that's really what I did today! Ha... I hope tomorrow will be a better day... I shall stop whinging for now.
Some pictures of my favourite students at my old work place. They just brighten up my day!

The New Year - 2007
They say a new year is a new beginning and I certainly hope this year will be just as great, if not better than the previous one!
No new year resolutions for me because like whats written on Sam and the City, new year resolutions seldom stick. "The resolutions are usually too ambitious and too rigid. It's a recipe for failing... unrealistic goals will only end up causing increased levels of bitterness, defeat and unhappiness."
Maybe all these are just excuses for not working on something throughout the year, maybe I'm just lazy, hoping that things will happen on their own. Or maybe I've always been setting small goals, resolutions or not don't really make a difference.
Although I dont have any resolutions, I sure have plenty of wishes to make. With my birthday just around the corner, I think I can have more wishes? heh heh...
Wishes for 2007:
1. World Peace - hahahahahaha... but seriously, think bombings in Bangkok, that's one less place for us to go! =P
2. The people I love to stay in good health and find happiness
3. To be offered a scholarship to do a PhD in Dietetics
4. To meet someone who can make me happy
Four wishes aren't too much to ask for I hope!
Well, Happy New Year to all!!!
