Its not true that we must "accept trouble from God" if we accept blessings from Him.

Jesus died to bless us through and through. Every bit of blessing is righteously ours now.

It is the lie of the devil that anyone of us should suffer now because we have sinned and God is displeased with us.

There isnt such a thing as "we deserve it" (cuz we did something wrong). Our debts, our sins, our transgressions have all been fully paid for.

hmmm... have they translated it wrong then?

i guess the trouble there means not questioning Him when we meet with difficulties?

From my understanding, i think God wants us to know that He definitely will deliver us from all suffering and problems. Because we have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

I think not everything in the bible can be lifted off in sections and go "yeah this is the word of truth".

Like that portion about "accepting trouble", it was actually what Job replied to his wife in a conversation. So yeah, its not Jesus' words. Or like some command or order.

So believe that u are meant to have life to the fullest and according to His riches:

"And my God shall supply ALL your need ACCORDING TO His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." - Phil 4:19

Hi Marabelle,

I agree with you that Jesus' final sacrifice makes us Righteous. We should not accept any troubles or even punishment for sin, as the finished work has already redeemed what is needed.

God's good Grace and Favour is what we believers can continue to expect, though we may be imperfect and constantly make mistakes, Jesus will always love us and see us perfectly and righteously.

Remember that the key is to praise the Lord no matter what happens ... and i agree with your friends that you shouldn't interpret the verse as a "i deserve punishment" kinda thing.

Glad that you have so many people sharing this new walk with you =)
